In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, sometimes all you need is a refreshing break without the hassle of travel! Jeff & I had the pleasure of experiencing the best of Sacramento while staying at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento. From Happy Hour at 7th Street Standard to drinks at The Clayton Club and catching a Kings game, our staycation was a perfect blend of relaxation and FUN!
Hyatt Centric is an elegant and centrally located hotel that truly lives up to its name. With modern amenities, comfortable rooms, and a rooftop lounge boasting breathtaking views of the city, it set the tone for a fun stay. The hotel’s proximity to Golden 1 Center made it a convenient home base for the night!
Happy Hour at 7th St Standard:
To kick off the evening, we headed to 7th St Standard, a trendy spot known for its laid-back atmosphere and delicious cocktails. The Happy Hour specials offer a variety of drinks and appetizers at great prices. 7 days a week, $7 drinks and $7appetizers. The chic yet cozy ambiance made it the perfect place to unwind before the Kings game!
Drinks at Clayton Club:
After Happy Hour we went up to the Clayton Club, which.. fun fact – we got married there! It’s a unique rooftop bar with a cozy, intimate vibe.
To wrap up our stay we enjoyed brunch at 7th Street Standard. The menu at 7th Street Standard has a diverse selection of brunch options, from classic favorites to inventive dishes that cater to every palate. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory like their signature avocado toast or sweet indulgences like fluffy pancakes, the culinary offerings are a testament to the chef’s creativity and commitment to quality.
Our staycation in downtown Sacramento, from the luxurious Hyatt Centric to the lively Happy Hour at 7th St Standard, drinks at Clayton Club, and the Kings game, was a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. Sacramento truly has something for everyone, and this experience highlighted the city’s diverse offerings. If you’re looking for a memorable getaway without leaving the city, consider exploring the heart of Sacramento for a staycation that combines comfort, entertainment, and local charm.
