After all the traveling we’ve been doing, it was so nice to spend a weekend right here in Sacramento. We decided to have a staycation and checked into the Fort Sutter Hotel, which was the perfect home base for our weekend adventure!
Friday night, we kicked things off with dinner at Frank Fat’s—always a classic choice! You can’t pass up the Banana Cream Pie! The next morning, we took a walk over to the Midtown Farmer’s Market. Did you know it won BEST farmer’s market in CALIFORNIA!? I couldn’t resist picking up some cute earrings from Golden Hour Designs and then from there, we finally got to check out a new spot, La Costa Cafe, and instantly fell in love with it. Great coffee, great vibes—definitely a new favorite.

In the afternoon, we met up with some friends and enjoyed the ultimate Midtown,Sacramento evening: sipped on Aperol spritzes at Ro Sham Beaux, followed by a visit to Midtown Biergarten. We grabbed a slice of pizza next door at Pizzasaurus Rex. And the grand finale had us making a stop at the Mercantile Saloon for a nightcap—because, as they say, you don’t start there, you end there (IYKYK!).

Overall, it was such a fun and relaxing weekend. Sometimes, you don’t need to go far to have a great time. Sacramento has so much to offer, and it was nice to slow down and enjoy our own city for a change.
