A couple weeks ago, we ran away to Monterey for a girls’ weekend and it did not disappoint! We kicked things off with breakfast at Wild Plum Café, where the lattes were literally served in bowls—yes, giant bowls of frothy, caffeinated goodness.
After fueling up, we made our way to Carmel, where Silvestri Vineyards welcomed us with open arms (and open bottles). Silvestri Vineyards is owned by Alan Silvestri, a legendary film composer whose scores have made Hollywood magic for decades. He’s the genius behind iconic music for films like Forrest Gump and The Avengers!
Next up, Mission Ranch Hotel & Restaurant—a place where the past and present dance together beautifully. We sipped on more wine (because, why not?) and enjoyed the stunning views that had us pinching ourselves. Clint Eastwood really knew what he was doing with this one.
As the sun dipped, we headed to Il Tegamino for dinner. Nestled in a cozy corner of Carmel, this spot served up Italian dishes that were so authentic, we might as well have been in Tuscany. We shared pasta, sipped on yet another round of wine, and soaked in the warmth of the evening.
This trip was everything a girls’ weekend should be: great food, amazing wine, and even better company. Monterey, we’ll be back!
