Seattle has so much to offer—stunning scenery, unique food spots, and endless things to do. On our recent trip, I packed as much as possible into three days, hitting all the must-sees and a few hidden gems. Here’s how it all unfolded:
While exploring Seattle, we based ourselves just outside the city at the Archer Hotel in Redmond. This boutique hotel was such a cozy, chic retreat after busy days in the city. The rooms are modern yet comfy, with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. Archer has this cool vibe that’s upscale but welcoming, perfect for unwinding. Plus, Redmond’s relaxed pace is a nice contrast to Seattle’s hustle, while still close enough for easy access.
After arriving and settling in, we dove right into Seattle’s food scene and historic sights.
We met up with a friend for lunch at Earl’s Kitchen & Bar. It’s one of those spots where comfort food meets a cool, modern vibe. Think juicy burgers, truffle fries, and cocktails that hit just right. With full bellies, we made our way over to Smith Tower.
Smith Tower is one of Seattle’s oldest skyscrapers, and stepping into it feels like stepping back in time. We took a tour, soaking up all the quirky Seattle history and legends, and then went up to the speakeasy-style bar at the top. The cocktails and the view from up there? Absolutely worth it.
The next morning started at Biscuit Bitch—a fun, quirky breakfast joint serving up Southern-style biscuits with sassy names. I ordered the “Smokin’ Hot Bitch,” and it was every bit as delicious as the name is bold! The perfect fuel for a packed day.
After breakfast, we strolled over to Pike Place Market. The energy here is contagious—vendors selling everything from fresh flowers to handmade crafts, local treats, and, of course, the famous fish-tossing spot.
We took a little detour to Kerry Park in Queen Anne for that iconic Seattle skyline view. This is the spot for a postcard-perfect shot of the Space Needle, with Mount Rainier making an appearance if you’re lucky.
Our next stop was the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. We were super excited to check out the view from the top but unfortunately we ran out of time! If you are heading there in the future, make sure you give yourself plenty of time, 2 hours is NOT enough!
In the afternoon, we hopped on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. The ferry ride itself is beautiful, with stunning views of the Seattle skyline from the water. Bainbridge Island is the perfect escape from the city’s hustle, with cute shops, local boutiques, and quiet waterfront views.
After a few hours of exploring, we caught the ferry back to Seattle. As the city lights came into view at sunset, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the skyline all over again.
For our final day, we started with a relaxing breakfast at the hotel. Their breakfast spread was perfect for a slower morning—delicious, comforting options and great coffee to ease into the day after all the exploring.
Later, we headed over to Hollywood Tavern for lunch. This rustic spot is a little outside the city, surrounded by Washington wine country. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere had that laid-back, countryside feel, making it a great spot to enjoy our last lunch in the area.
Before heading to the airport, we made a quick stop at the Queen Anne Book Company. This cozy indie bookstore is a gem, filled with carefully curated books and a welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect spot to pick up a new read (or two) to remember the trip and to grab a gift for a friend back home.
Seattle is one of those cities where every visit feels like a new experience. This trip was the perfect mix of classic sights, incredible food, and unforgettable moments. I can’t wait to go back and discover even more!
