Sometimes, you just need a little time to yourself, and my recent solo weekend at the Lodge at Bodega Bay was exactly that—a perfect escape. I stayed in this cozy room with a fireplace that instantly made me feel right at home. Honestly, I didn’t even want to leave the room. I ended up ordering room service for every meal, enjoying delicious food in front of the fire while I just soaked up the peaceful vibes.
But I did venture out a bit! One of the highlights was heading to a local restaurant for some of the best clam chowder I’ve ever had—warm, comforting, and just right for the cool coastal weather. Another must-do was wine tasting at Sonoma Coast Vineyard. The wines were fantastic, and it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
All in all, it was the perfect mix of relaxation and a bit of local flavor. If you ever find yourself in need of a solo retreat, I can’t recommend the Lodge at Bodega Bay enough. It was just what I needed to recharge.
