You read that right! We eloped!
Eloping has become an increasingly popular choice for couples seeking a unique and intimate way to exchange their vows, especially since COVID, however this was always the idea for Jeff and I when we decided to tie the knot. We had a beautiful elopement in the heart of Sacramento. The ceremony was held at the charming Clayton Club Rooftop Lounge, followed by a scenic photo session around downtown Sacramento and a delightful intimate dinner at 7th Street Standard.
We chose the Clayton Club Rooftop Lounge for our special day, and it proved to be a fantastic decision. Nestled in the heart of downtown Sacramento, this hidden gem offers sweeping views of the cityscape, including the iconic Capitol Building. The rooftop lounge provided an intimate and romantic backdrop for our vows with just the right amount of urban sophistication.
After the ceremony we wanted to take photos that perfectly encapsulated the essence of the city. Our photographer, Diana and our videographers, Jeff and Nathan were incredible to work with and captured the most stunning images. The images captured the essence of our love, set against the picturesque tapestry of Sacramento’s diverse urban landscape.
The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner at 7th Street Standard, a trendy restaurant that specializes in combining modern culinary expertise with classic comfort food. We enjoyed an intimate, candlelit dinner and reminisced about the day’s events and toasted to our future together. It was an opportunity to savor the flavors of Sacramento and the warmth of shared moments.
Eloping in downtown Sacramento offered us the chance to celebrate our love in a way that was uniquely us. It allowed us to experience the heart of the city, both in its architecture and its flavors, in an intimate and memorable way. If you’re considering an elopement, don’t overlook the charm and versatility that a vibrant city like Sacramento can offer.
In the end, our elopement in downtown Sacramento was a testament to the idea that love can shine even brighter against the backdrop of a lively city. It was a day filled with romance, adventure, and the joy of a new chapter beginning in one of California’s most captivating cities.
